How that second goal was disallowed for offside with two Arsenal defenders on the goal-line amazes me . Though going on the footage shown Arsenal were worthy winners and although Bedford lost , the game is embedded in Bedford folk-lore
The replay came after a 2-2 draw at Highbury and as Bedrord's ground had no floodlights it was played Thursday afternoon -Hence the commonters opening sentence 'everybody in Bedford is burying their Grandmother ' due to so many people going sick from work and school . Does anybody out there have the Bedford .v. Everton game from 1966 ?
