    L/S of soldiers in a parade ground doing star jumps, they turn round and start hand to hand combat with each other. Various shots of two of the soldiers fighting. L/S of soldiers laid down on a rifle range practising, there is a red flag on the right, and an officer is walking about in the background. L/S from behind the men as they fire at targets on a small hill. M/S as the officer bends down to one of the men and gives him advice as he fires. L/S of the targets which are man-shaped, the numbers 1 to 7 are above them.

    Interior. M/S of soldiers lining up in the NAAFI in front of a dartboard, an officer is holding a stopwatch and he gives the instruction to start throwing. M/S as one soldier throws three darts and moves aside, the next soldier throws his dart and so on. The narrator explains they are trying to beat the record darts marathon held by an RAF unit in Cyprus of 1,000,001 darts in 21 and three quarter hours. M/S of another soldier stood by the dartboard, he removes the darts as soon as they have been thrown ready for the next lot. M/S of the darts sliding down a chute ready to be collected, soldiers line up at the side of it. M/S of the soldiers playing darts. M/S of the darts sliding down the chute and the soldiers collect them and put them in piles. M/S of the soldiers playing darts. M/S of a soldier's hands as he repairs the end of the darts, he has 'Love' and 'Rose' tattooed across his knuckles. M/S of the men repairing the darts and the players lining up to throw. M/S of a man sat at a table writing down the score and handing it on, this is passed to an RAF Sergeant who is the umpire for the match. M/S of two women and one man working at a comptometer machine, which looks like a big adding machine. C/U of the comptometer. Various shots of the two girls using the machines. C/U of the worn out dartboard, it is taken off the wall and replaced with a new one. C/U of a soldier's face as he fits the new board. M/S as an army doctor pours fluid from a bottle onto the arm of a soldier. C/U of his wrist as the liquid is rubbed in, M/S as his wrist is held up to a heat lamp. M/S of the men playing darts. C/U of the dartboard as the darts hit it, and a hand pulling them out. M/S of the men cheering as they reach their target. C/U as the judge holds up a piece of paper.
