    Titles read: "Over twenty years ago a young American ALONZO ELLIOTT composed a tune that later swept over the English-Speaking Nations. To-day [sic], the composer is here to play his own rendering of that famous Melody. "There's A Long, Long Trail".

    M/S of Alonzo Elliott sitting at a grand piano. He introduces his song and explains that it was sung by his fellow students at Yale and Cambridge Universities, as well as being taken up by Naval and military men.

    He plays 'There's A Long, Long Trail' on the piano; at the chorus we see superimposed shots of soldiers marching along roads in the First World War.

    Note: the last 50 feet of this story shows signs of decomposing.
