    No title, paperwork reads - All home for Xmas - cameraman obtains history making pictures of our Army's last days on the Rhine.

    Intertitle - 'Quite unobtrusively, detachments are leaving at frequent intervals for "Blighty."'

    M/S as one soldier blows a bugle. M/S as soldiers stand on parade ground in front of officer, various shots as they salute.

    Intertitle - 'trust "Tommy" to make friends wherever he goes!'

    M/S of the soldiers on a train, a woman stands by the train and chats to them, one leans out to give a girl a kiss but can't reach. Various shots of another soldier standing on the platform kissing a woman. M/S as the men wave out of the train window.

    Intertitle - 'Tommy, in his own inimitable way, is light-heartedly "winding up the watch on the Rhine."'

    M/S of one soldier playing the mouth organ and dancing, those behind him sing "Pack Up Your Troubles in Your Old Kit Bag." M/S as he dances again and waves his hat, he bows at the end.
