Isolde and Ronald were my grandparents and Isolde was playing the mandolin. She was formally trained by Senor Alberto C. Obregon and was playing as early as 1901.
She played at a Royal Command Performance at Windsor Castle and for Queen Alexandra / Princess Mary (to become Queen Mary). In 1946 she was given her own program on BBC playing a 15 minute segment.
