Adagio dancers Alexis and Dorrano perform a passionate routine in the studio.
Titles read: 'NOW FOR Alexis and Dorrano the celebrated ADAGIO DANCERS, in their famous 'Danse Apache'.
Probably filmed in Pathe Studio, London.
(Gunshot heard over titles.) On a set dressed to look like a seedy tavern, we see temptress Dorrano looking through a wallet (presumably belonging to the man she just shot) and putting the money in her knicker leg with a flamboyant gesture. Her boyfriend (Alexis) sees her and demands the money - she refuses and he starts to throw her around in true apache style. While she is on the ground he throws a knife but we don't see if it gets her - cut to two tavern diners looking horrified.
More rough stuff, with a few torrid dance steps in between. After Alexis has tossed Dorrano about a bit, she knees him in the vitals and he falls to the floor. To serve her right he swings her about by one arm and one leg and lets go so she lands on the floor. A shocked couple who have been watching leave the tavern at this point.
Now that poor Dorrano is about dead, Alexis picks her up and carries her upside down over his shoulder - her skirt falls down over her face to reveal her black knickers (not sexy, more of the harvest festival variety). Alexis picks up the evidence of their fight, including his knife that was stuck in the floor and walks off looking furtively about.
Note: according to paperwork the music is Valse Apache - their own arrangement.
