Scenes from location in North Africa, north of Sahara, probably one of French colonies - Morocco, Algeria or Tunisia.

Shot looking down narrow street with market stalls - looks like old part of city, possibly souk. Several Arab men stand talking and walk along this street. Street lined with palm trees and men walking along, one leading camels. Pack mules eating hay, pan to show along open pillared structure, Arab boys & men sit along this portico. Shot of the palm-lined street with mule cart approaching. The cart arrives in front of a large barn-like structure, a scene of much activity; with many people walking past. Woman walks by wearing huge cloth of beautiful fabric wrapped around her head and body & carrying a bowl on her head, man in background carries a large basket on his head. More people carrying more objects on their heads, some women walk along under umbrellas. Some Muslim women are hidden under dark robes & veils completely covering their faces. Crowded street with strips of small stalls or shops. Shot of African men sitting in front of market stalls where food is displayed. MS Arab man in thin shirt and fez hat working, seems to be cooking.
