Military and civic officials on stand; which is decorated with Union Jacks. Then the Duchess of Portland strikes the bottle of champagne tied to the aeroplane's propellor; it breaks; amidst much cheering & waving of hats. Pan over large crowd of soldiers assembled at this rally.

    The aircraft was christened "Nottingham".
