  1. K J Callaghan says

This piece of filmed history was such a pleasant surprise. The film clip is of my great grandfather, Sir George Astley Callaghan GCB GCVO, Admiral of the Fleet. With him is likely his wife and judging by the age of the children, a grandson and granddaughter. His son Cyril Callaghan, who was my grandfather, became a Commander in The Royal Navy. I have a photograph known as the three Georges where Sir George Callaghan is standing on the deck of his flagship, between King George V and his son Prince George, who was an officer on the flagship The Iron Duke. George Callaghan has a chair in Westminster Abbey and apparently laid to rest in Bathwick, Somerset.
