    Merseyside and Liverpool 4 December 1918.

    Admiral Beatty gets into an open coach where two women with bouquets of flowers are already sitting. He is followed by the Mayor (?) of Liverpool. Photographers take pictures and crowds of people look on.

    Admiral and Mayor arrive at St George's Hall, led by guards. The Admiral inspects Guard of Honour. Sailors come marching past the Hall. Crowds of people watch from the steps.

    M/S of the two women getting into the coach. High angle view of the sailors marching one way, a band marching the other way outside the hall and trolley buses or trams moving in the background.

    On the River Mersey we see HMS Queen Elizabeth, Beatty's flagship.

    Back to the scene outside the Hall with sailors marching past.
