    Mohammed VI, Sultan of Turkey, leaves the country after forced abdication; November, 1922. The Grand National Assembly issued a decree that the Sultanate had come to an end and that a new government of the people and peasants would be established. Shot of the ex-Sultan & several other men coming out of a side door at palace (?).

    Mohammed walks down steps & past line of guards to a waiting carriage. Very close shot of horses; carriage passing; the ex-Sultan saluting; guards walk beside and behind carriage. (Date listed above is approximate. Mohammed VI was actually deposed on 11-4-22; he was offered asylum in Mecca by King Hussein on the 17th of the same month.) Royalty; Ottoman Empire.
