Westminster Abbey, London.
MS Rev Alan Don, Dean of Westminster seated at desk says (nat snd) "On January 30th, Mr Churchill launched Westminster Abbey Appeal for a million pounds. The very next day, the great floods burst and the Abbey Appeal had to be halted in favour of the National Flood & Tempest Distress Fund. But now the time has come to give the Abbey Appeal a fresh start, and to remind you of what Mr. Churchill said"
The Dean makes several attempts at his speech.
CU "A million pounds from a million people. Yes, you can give as much and as little as you like. Anything you can spare, to help in the preservation of the Coronation church, in the Coronation year."
