    L/S of a woman coming out of a railway station building and setting a signal. L/S of the same woman pushing a barrow with a basket on it. "All things come alike to her - whether handling luggage - punching tickets - or seeing the train off."

    L/S of the train arriving - it only has one carriage and looks like a car at the front. The lady Stationmaster opens the front door of the carriage and speaks to the driver. "Right away!" She waves her flag and the train moves off.

    Was item in Eve's Film Review issue 350.

    How fascinating! Although the station is described as being "near Shrewsbury", I would love to know if it was actually the station at Montgomery? If so, it is the only photo I have ever seen of it.

    Sorry Tambrosian, it's not Montgomery. It is Maesbrook on the Shropshire & Montgomeryshire Railway and in Shropshire - but only just! The Welsh border is only a mile or so away.
