    M/S of a boating lake.

    Group of young men in a rowing boat row quickly towards another and smash into it. This story is about a novel oar which allows the boatman to see where he's going. C/U of mechanism attached to the side of the boat which facilitates the man rowing facing the way he is travelling. M/S of the man rowing towards the camera.

    "It may look queer, but it saves the crick in the neck feeling!" Various shots of the boat being rowed (it looks awkward). Man steers boat into shore.

    Was an item in Pathe Pictorial issue number 684.
