Commentator explains they are hunting for a Basking Shark for use as a model from which they'll cast two artificial sharks, one for the Aquarium and one for the Smithsonian Institute in Washington.
We see the shark's fins in the water. The ship comes alongside for the kill. Man harpoons the shark. Good footage of unpleasant act. The ship tows the shark back to the Kildonan packers wharf. There it is hauled out of the water and put on a trolley. Two men take notes. The shark is taken off on a fork lift truck.
