• Short Summary

An information film to explain why cinema prices are going to rise.

  • Description

Mr Watson seated at his desk in front of a map explains why, after seven years the price of cinema tickets is going to rise. He goes to the wall map and points out the number of cinemas in Europe and the Canal Zone. He holds up a pound note and tells us that this was worth 40 Deutchmarks, the coins are on his desk, but now they are only worth 11 marks. He opens a can of film which once cost 4 guineas but now cost eight pounds ten shillings and they need sixteen thousand of them a year, and colour film costs much more. End graphic shows "Your manager is putting up full details. The date of the increased prices will be announced later."
