A man stands and fishes by a waterfall. "The Prince had great sport here on his tour. A fine catch." C/U of fish displayed artistically falling out of a basket. Various types of fishing are shown - "gill" netting - nets are pulled in which have caught fish at regular intervals. We see the revolving drum which hauls the fish in. Top shot of the fishermen pulling fish from the nets. Seagulls fly close to the boat. Another method shown is "pound" fishing. M/S of four fishermen in small boat pulling in a pound net. C/U of the net being pulled into the boat. C/U of the fish thrashing around. Various shots of the fish struggling in the net. The men scoop them out of the net into the boat. One fish is described as a "conscientious objector" as the fisherman struggles to lift it out of the net. L/S of fishing boat "Seagull" with smaller boat beside it. The men in the smaller boat transfer their catch to the larger boat. Man holds up examples of two very large fish. C/U of fish in a box being "iced." Big shovel loads of ice are put on top. Men load the boxes onto a freight train. "And you can imagine the rest."
