Mr. MacDonald talks about recent "white paper" and explains why government thinks it is necessary to increase money spent on defence. He sees it as a deterrent against war and makes reference to recent meeting in Geneva. Mr. MacDonald wants to see a universal deduction of arms but until that point he feels it unwise to reduce Britain's weaponry.
