No title. M/S of a group of men and women having afternoon tea at tables in a garden. A man walks into shot and takes his hat off to two women. He looks around for a chair. He asks a waiter for a chair, and the waiter walks over to the table with a folding chair.
The waiter constructs the chair which has a special hoop for putting his walking cane through and a little shelf to put his briefcase on and another place for his hat. A special hook on the back is pulled out and the mans coat is threaded through it. The man sits down and pulls the chair closer to the table. One of the girls offers him a cigarette. A camera dissolve suggests the passing of time. The man gets up and shakes hands with the women. The waiter comes and assists the man with his things. He then folds the chair up and walks off.
