Background: Fifty-six year old dietician, Dr. Barbara Moore, reached Bodmin, Cornwall, Feb 3 on the last-but-one stage of her 1,000 mile marathon walk from John-o-Groats, Scotland, to Lands End, cornwall, England.
After an overnight stop at Bodmin, Dr. Moore stepped out Feb 4 determined to walk the remaining sixty-two miles. The most she has covered in one day so far in 20 days walking is 59???? miles.
High winds and lashing rain delayed her Feb 3 departure from Okehampton. After covering about ten miles here left ankle began to swell again, but despite heavy rain and near gales beating into her face, the dogged Doctor plodded on.
Dr. Moore does it all on vegetable, nuts and fruit. She eats no cheese or butter and eschews coffee and tea.
