SCU..."I am glad too, to be able to thank once again our hosts all round the globe, for the way in which they made our visit to them - short though some of them had to be - so enthralling and so agreeable."

SV..."There is something else to which I would draw your attention, because I believe that it is not always clearly understood by my people in these islands - pre-occupied as they well may be by the difficulties & dangers of the world in which we all live. I want to remind you with all the power of my command that you do not stand alone, your efforts do not pass un-noticed or un-admired; you do not - and I know you never will - lack the friendly comradeship/ of the Nations of our Commonwealth family 1/2 "

SV..."Others, though not thinking of the United Kingdom as home, still look to her as the origin of a way of life/ which they admire."/

SV..."This was proved a hundred times in war - we have seen the truth of it in peace."

SCU..."On our road we - and indeed the whole world - have been given knowledge which could have been gained in no other fashion. And we return with our faith in the high destiny of our Commonwealth and Empire even stronger than we set out." (hear, hear, and applause)
