Background: In a rally organised tonight at the arab university of Beirut, Dr. George habash leader of the PFLP Popular front for the liberation of Palestine) rejected the idea of a palestinian participation at the Geneva conference on peace in the a Middle east. He denied as well the right to King Hussein of the Jordan ??? to represent the palestinians at thais conference calling it "Kissinger's conference". He put suspicion an the egyptian authorities because he said: "It is suspicious to see the relations between the egyptian government and the americans resume so fast when the enemy has not yet withdrawn from the arab lands. He added that the Geneva ??? conference would be under the suspicious of the united nations, these very "united nations who created the sionist imperialist state of Israel in 1948 and who voted resolution 242 in November 1967, resolution which asks only for withdrawal of lands occupied in 1967 was and not for the recovering of the rights of the palestinian people". He said later that the main snery of the Palestinian people was the american imperialism stressing the first that the recent war was just an episode in the long struggle of the palestinian to recover their lands and create a laic and democratic state in which moslem, jews and christians could leave in peace.
