Considerable damage to the stern of the Greek liner "Agamemnon" was done when she collided with the French ship "Bonnet", Aug 21, about six miles outside Limassol harbour.

Background: Considerable damage to the stern of the Greek liner "Agamemnon" was done when she collided with the French ship "Bonnet", Aug 21, about six miles outside Limassol harbour. After the collision the Greek liner was able to sail for Famagusta, where she is being repaired.
The "Agamemnon" was coming into port and the "Bonnet" was outbound for Benghazi, when the accident occurred. Several cabins were wrecked and a passengers, on his way to Greece with his wife, was killed. Most of the passengers were asleep, at the time and several were injured when thrown out of their bunks.
From Famagusta the "Agamemnon" will said to Piraeus for a complete check of her hull and a general overhaul.
