    MR. NIXON, RUMOURED AS A POSSIBLE REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE, IS ON A TOUR OF 12 ASIAN COUNTRIES.

    IN THE EVENING, MR. NIXON CALLED ON THE INDONESIAN FOREIGN MINISTER, MR. ADAM MALIK AND THE ACTING PRESIDENT GENERAL SUHARTO. THEY HAD INFORMAL TALKS IN THE PRESENCE OF AMBASSADOR GREEN.
