At their barracks men of the Pak army assembled and placed their weapons while their JCOs counted them and made a list. All the officers of the Pak Army were gathered at the Golf Course. Here the Indian Corps Commander arrived with Local commander Gen. Nagra and POWs camp commander Brig. Kler. The Pak Army offices were led by Gen. Jamshed, Gen. Jamshed presented his officers to Bt. Gen. Sagat Singh. Thereafter Gen. Nagra explained the privileges of Pak POWs under Geneva Convention and announced the appointment of Brig. Kler as POW Camp Commandant.
Gen. Jamshed then ordered his officers to lay down weapons and move back six steps. This completes the formalities of Pak surrender.
