The Swedes looked good in the first period, and the play was both fast and exciting. But in the second period, the game got tougher and the Czechoslovakian players started to pull ahead, and by the end of the period, led 4-1.
The final period saw the Swedish team trying to make a come-back, but was marred by some rough play. At one time the Swedes had narrowed the Czechoslovakian lead to 4-2, but at the final hooter, it was a home team victory for the second time, 5-2.
