MR. REYNOLDS AIMS TO PLACE MALAYSIA ON THE MAP OF INTERNATIONAL AVIATION. HE WILL BE FLYING OVER 30 CITIES IN 20 DIFFERENT COUNTRIES AND HOPES TO SET UP FIVE POINT-TO-POINT RECORDS.

MR. REYNOLDS, IS ONE OF THE VETERANS OF THE KOREAN WAR. HE WAS SEEN OFF BY A GROUP OF WELL-WISHERS. HE HAS BEEN FLYING SINCE 1959 AND HAS MORE THAN 200 FLYING HOURS BEHIND HIM.

IN HIS FAREWELL SPEECH, HE SAID THAT THERE WOULD BE SOME DANGERS ATTACHED TO THE FLIGHT, SUCH AS ENGINE FAILURE, STORMS AND COMMUNICATIONS BREAKDOWN. "BUT THE GREATEST DANGER IS OVER-CONFIDENCE, WHICH MAKES A PILOT FLY IN CONDITIONS WHICH ARE DANGEROUS," HE ADDED.
