Background: United States Presidential adviser Dr. Henry Kissinger has returned to France to resume talks on the Vietnam peace agreement with North Vietnam's La Duc Tho.
After flying into Orly airport on Tuesday (12 June), Dr. Kissinger drove straight to 5th Nom la Breteche, a village West of Paris, to meet Mr. Tho. He made no comment about the talks on his arrival apart from saying they were going to resume.
There is strong speculation that agreement is very near on the signing of a joint communique on methods of implementing the much-violated ceasefire and the French Foreign Ministry has already made all the necessary arrangements for the signing at the International Conference Centre on the Avenue Kleber in Paris. It was there that the January Vietnam cease-fire accords were signed.
