The eighth edition of the annual show of modern painting was inaugurated in Rome's own Latin Quarter. This event takes place on Via Margutta: the "main street" of the section of the city where a great number of artists reside or have their studios.
Paintings are on show in the open air along the street, in the various courtyards of the buildings and in the salons of the International Artistic Association. Six hundred Italian painters and eighty Foreign painters representing 24 Nations take part in this show. Their work is viewed by numerous visitors and judged by a score of art critics who are always on the look out for "what's new in art".
The authors are of course present and a good number of them are rewarded by the sale of their production.
