SYNOPSIS: The Quiryat Anavim Kibbutz near Tel Aviv - where, following Tuesday's attack by three Japanese gunmen on passengers at Lod Airport, other Japanese have been joining in the condemnation of the terrorist act. These Japanese have been living and working with the Israelis - and have now applied for permanent residences in Israel. To them, the guerilla not in which their countrymen killed twenty-seven innocent bystanders and injured dozens more, has been more than a political act. It has meant n attack on their very way of life among the Israelis.

Many of the Japanese living in Israel, came originally through religious beliefs or to study the history of the country. But, after living and working side by side with the Israelis, the country has become their home as well. While official Japanese Government and diplomatic sources are offering their condolences, to the Since-Israelis in Quiryat Anavim the best expression of their sympathy is in continuing to work in the farms and the vineyards of the kibbutz.
