    A ROYAL CANADIAN AIR FORCE YUKON AIRCRAFT, WITH A CREW OF 16 AND 12 PASSENGERS, HAS ARRIVED IN THE CONGO CAPITAL, LEOPOLDVILLE TO HELP THE OIL AIRLIFT INTO ZAMBIA. AMONG PASSENGERS WAS 42-YEAR-OLD WING COMMANDER WEBB, FROM HAMILTON, ONTARIO, WHO WILL HEAD A 12-MAN TEAM PREPARING THE WAY FOR ANOTHER FOUR AIRCRAFT AND 105 SUPPORT PERSONNEL FOR THE AIRLIFT.

    THE YUKON ARRIVED ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT ON THREE ENGINES, ONE HAVING FAILED EN ROUTE FROM DARA, SENEGAL. IT IS THE FIRST OF FIVE AIRCRAFT TO BE USED IN AIRLIFTING PETROLEUM PRODUCTS FROM THE CONGO TO ZAMBIA, WHICH FOLLOWS THE IMPOSITION OF OIL SANCTIONS ON RHODESIA.

    FOUR MORE YUKONS ARE EXPECTED TO LAND IN LEOPOLDVILLE THIS WEEK. ONE TOKEN SUPPLY WAS DUE TO LEAVE FOR ZAMBIA THIS WEEKEND. WING COMMANDER WEBB WAS ALSO SCHEDULED TO FLY TO LUSAKA, THE ZAMBIAN CAPITAL, TODAY (SUNDAY) TO CONFIRM ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE AIRLIFT.

    AT LEOPOLDVILLE, HE WAS WELCOMED BY THE CANADIAN AMBASSADOR, MR. GORDON BROWN, A REPRESENTATIVE FROM THE CONGOLESE FOREIGN MINISTER AND THE ZAMBIAN AMBASSADOR, MR. TIMOTHY KANKASA.
