TRANSCRIPT: (SEQ. 6): "That all of us Jews, whether we are American Jews, English Jews, Israeli Jews or Dutch Jews could try hard to raise our voice to get freedom, that's all we want, freedom for the people, for our people, who want to leave Russia. I don't think all three million Jews want to leave Russia, but the ones who want to leave should be permitted to leave. We should raise our voice wherever we are for this purpose. Thank you very much."

Background: Hundreds of demonstrators gathered in Trafalgar Square, London, today (Sunday, 28 Feb. 1971) to protest against what they called a wave of persecution of Jews in the Soviet Union and, in particular, the refusal of the authorities there to allow Jews to emigrate. The meeting followed last week's gathering in Belgium of the World Congress of Jews which appealed to the Soviet Union to grant Jews the right to emigrate to Israel.
