    THE 54-YEAR-OLD ROLLS-ROYCE WAS USED THROUGHOUT THE FIRST WORLD WAR BY A PIONEER AVIATOR, COLONEL SIR FRANCIS MCLEAN, TO INSPECT ROYAL FLYING CORPS BASES IN FRANCE. THE CAR WAS BOUGHT BY MR. IAN GRANT, FOR THE MUSEO DE AUTOMOBILE, IN TURIN. MR. GRANT INTENDS TO DRIVE THE ROLLS TO TURN IN HIMSELF.

    A 1924 LANCHESTER WAS ALSO ON SALE. IT ORIGINALLY BELONGED TO AN INDIAN PRINCE, THE MAHARAJAR OF REWA, IT IS EQUIPPED FOR HUNTING AND HAS OUTRIDER SEATS FOR GUNBEARERS. THE CAR WAS SOLD FOR GBP1,900.
