    IN POURING RAIN, THE STUDENTS MARCHED THROUGH SEOUL STREETS SURROUNDED BY RIOT SQUADS AND THEN WENT TO THE CAPITAL BUILDING, SEEKING PRESIDENT CHUNG HEE PARK. THEY CLASHED WITH POLICE SEVERAL TIMES, BUT COULD NOT BREAK THROUGH THEIR LINES.

    LATER, THEY WENT TO THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY AND STAGED A FURTHER SERIES OF SIT-DOWN DEMONSTRATIONS.

    (TODAY (SUNDAY) RIOT POLICE IN SEOUL USED TEAR-GAS TO DISPERSE STONE THROWING GROUPS OF STUDENTS DEMONSTRATING AGAINST SOUTH KOREAN GOVERNMENT STEPS TO RESTORE NORMAL RELATIONS WITH JAPAN. ABOUT 30 STUDENTS WERE REPORTED TO HAVE BEEN ARRESTED).
