    President Anwar Sadat of Egypt entered his country's ideological battle with Libya on Wednesday (1 May) when he delivered a May Day attack on political adolescents in the Arab World. In a reported reference to Libya's leaders, he told 50 thousand workers at a rally in Helwan that his critics had loud voices but weak hearts. President Sadat said the October war last year had changed the world's view of the Arabs and they were now taken seriously.

    The Egyptian leader normally steers clear of conflicts with other Arab nations, out now he Has entered into the debate at a time of worsening relations with neighbouring Libya. The Libyan leader, Colonel Muammar Gaddafi has bitterly criticised President Sadat's handling of the war and all his subsequent policies for a settlement. Relations deteriorated even further when members of a secret organisation, whose Palestinian ring-leader is alleged to have contacts with Colonel Gaddafi, attacked Cairo's military technical Academy last month. president Sadat interrupted talks with United States Secretary of State Dr. Henry Kissinger to address the rally.
