LOUIS LEAKEY. HIS THEORY PUTS BACK THE TIME AT WHICH MAN SEPARATED FROM APE CREATURES BY SOME SEVEN MILLION YEARS.

    AFTER HAVING HIS ANALYSES CONFIRMED BY EXPERTS IN THE UNITED STATES, DR. LEAKEY HAS NAMED THIS EARLIEST-EVER MAN CREATURE KENYAPITHECUS AFRICANUS.

    THE FOSSIL FRAGMENTS, SAYS DR. LEAKEY, SHOW THAT MAN WAS FULLY SEPARATED FROM THE STOCK WHICH GAVE RISE TO APES, AT LEAST NINETEEN MILLION YEARS AGO. PREVIOUS THEORIES, BASED ON OTHER FINDS IN TANZANIA, PUT THE DATE OF SEPARATION AT ABOUT TWELVE MILLION YEARS AGO.
