    Japanese police brought left-wing radical Takao Himori to Tokyo on Friday (16 June) after he had been held in Kyoto in connection with the massacre of passengers at Israel's Lydda Airport last month. Himori was brought to the capital for questioning.

    Himori was detained by police at akyoto pawnshop after weeks of inv???tigation to determines his whereabouts. He was taken to Tokyo's police headquarters.

    Police in Tokyo said the 24-year-old Himori had travelled to the Middle East last year with Yasuyuki Yasuda, one of the thee Japanese gunmen working for Palestinian guerrillas who killed 25 passengers with machine gun bullets and grenades at the airport on May 30. A further 80 people were wounded, and Yasuda and one of his companions also died.

    Police hops Himori can give information on the motive for the airport attack and on activities of Japanese radicals working for Palestine guerrillas.
