Background: Musical celebrities and United States and Soviet Union Government representatives joined hundreds of mourners at funeral service in New York yesterday for composer Igor Stravinsky. Conductor Leopold Stokouski, violinist Isaac Stern, pianist Artur Rubinstein attended services at a private chapel as did Mr Anatole Dyuzhev, Cultural Attache to the Soviet Embassy in Washington and Mr Michael Straight, Deputy Chairman of the National Endowment of the Arts, represented Mr Nixon. Mourners spilled into the streets from the chapel. Mr Stravinsky died of heart failure in New York last Tuesday at the age of 88.
