    Following a luncheon with President Pompidou at the Elysee Palace in Paris today (Monday), President Albert-Bernard Bongo of Gabon spoke to reporters of the need for "dialogues" between south African and the rest of Africa.

    President Bongo has long bean in accord with the views of President Houphouet-Boigny of the Ivory Coast on most African problems - and the question of a meeting with south Africa is strongly supported by the Ivorian President.

    Although he refused to be drawn into saying what were President Pompidou's views on the subject, President Bongo spoke to reporters:
