FULL INFO REUTERS. On camera we have Peres commenting on Vance's latest comments about the Middle East and Geneva. He says that after he is elected, one of the first things his new govt will do is to work out a programme for peace. He will go to Washington with these "constructive proposals". He couldn't see any reason why Geneva talks couldn't be held later this year.
Also speaks about the "illegal" West Bank settlement of Kaddum, set up by Gush Emunim. He tended to beittle it "after all its only 30 acres" ..but confirmed that the Govt would stand by its decision to move the Kaddum settlers somewhere else. He also said there were "unauthorised" Arab settlements in various parts of Israel and on the West Bank but nobody was suggesting that they send in soldiers to close them down, he hoped.
