    MORE THAN 20 MEN FROM THE BRITISH ROYAL AIR FORCE BASE IN ADEN, ARE AT PRESENT SPENDING PART OF THEIR LEAVE HELPING TO RENOVATE AND REPAIR THE HOME. THEY'LL BE RE-WIRING THE ELECTRICITY SUPPLY TO THE EXISTING HOUSE, REPAIRING THE ROOF AND INSTALLING FLUSHING TOILETS. IN ADDITION THEY'RE HOPING TO BUILD ANOTHER SMALL HOUSE TO INCREASE THE HOME'S CAPACITY FROM THE PRESENT 20 PLACES. THE BOYS WILL MOVE IN WHEN THE JOB IS COMPLETE. THEY ARE CARRYING OUT THE WORK UNDER THE MOST DIFFICULT CONDITIONS, IN HEAVY RAIN AND THICK MUD, BUT HELPED BY THE USE OF A FOUR-WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE, LENT TO THEM BY THE AMERICAN PEACE CORPS IN ETHIOPIA.

    SO FAR 16 OF THE 20 BOYS AT THE HOME HAVE BEEN ADOPTED BY UNITS AND SQUADRONS AT ROYAL AIR FORCE, KHORMAKSAR, IN ADEN. THE SERVICEMEN SUBSCRIBE VOLUNTARILY EACH MONTH TO PROVIDE FOR THEIR COMPLETE UP-KEEP.

    THE PARTY IS LED BY SQUADRON LEADER R. RETCHE. THEY HAVE TAKEN ALL THE NECESSARY STORES AND EQUIPMENT WITH THEM TO COMPLETE THE JOB, AND IN ADDITION THEY'LL PRESENT A CHEQUE FOR GBP200.IT WILL BE THE SECOND CHEQUE FOR GBP200 PRESENTED WITHIN THE LAST TWO MONTHS.
