    The fourth All-Christian Assembly, organised by the Christian Peace Conference, opened at the International Hotel in prague on Thursday (30 September). Two hundred and sixty delegates from 55 countries are attending the five-day meeting.

    The assembly brings together numerous national church organisations, as well as civil rights groups and national liberation movements Among this year's guests of honour is the Rev. Ralph Abernathy, successor to the late Dr. Martin Luther King so head of the Southern Christian Conference.

    SYNOPSIS: The fourth All-Christian Assembly, sponsored by the Christian Paces. Conferences, opened in Czechoslovakia on Friday. Two hundred and sixty delegates from fifty-five countries gathered in Prague for five days of discussions on world peace, racism and allied topics.

    The assembly brings together numerous national church organisations as well as civil rights groups and national liberation movements. The Reverend Richard Andriamanjato from Madagascar was one of the early speaker. The cession was opened by Bishop Nikodim, the Metropolitan Bishop of Leningrad and Novgorod, who voiced the hops that the Prague meeting would further the peace-making activities of Christians all over the world.

    Another early speaker, Dr Harbert Mochalski, from West Germany. Several western countries, including Britain, France and the United State, have not sent official delegations because of policy disagreements. But individuals from these countries are attending the conference.
