    The Egyptian Foreign Minister Hassan El-Zayyat visited Kuwait on Saturday (31 March) as the last stop on his world tour. He had talks with the Ruler of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al Salim Al Sabah, and with the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister at a time when the border dispute with Iraq had flared into violence.

    Dr. Zayyat visited India, The People's Republic of China, Pakistan, Iran, Syria and Iraq as well as Kuwait, as part of a wide-ranging diplomatic offensive to gain support for Egypt's position on the Middle East. On his return to Cairo he said that two-thirds of humanity supported the Arab cause against Israel but unfortunately these countries did not possess two-thirds of the world's power.

    SYNOPSIS: Egyptian Foreign Minister, Dr. Hassan El-Zayyat, was greeted by the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Al Salim Al Sabah when he visited Kuwait on Saturday (March 31). Dr. Zayyat has visited India, The People's Republic of China, Pakistan, Iran, Iraq and Syria to seek support for the Arab position in the Middle East.

    Dr. Zayyat had come directly from Baghdad and he attended talks with the Emir and the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister at a time when Kuwait's border dispute with Iraq had resulted in several clashes.

    Dr. Zayyat expressed the hope that Arab nations could be unified to face the common Israeli enemy.

    Dr. Zayyat said two-thirds of humanity supported the Arab cause against Israel.
