Background: The gentle slope facing the picture is decorated with white carnations and chrysanthemums, with the run containing the ashes of the deceased placed at the top of the slope. The lower part of the slope is enveloped in young cedar needles while the flowers on the upper part are in the design of the Japanese flag. Depiction of small groves of vegetation is to both sides.

The late Prime Minister's awards are displayed just in front of the place where the urn rests.

The dominant colour is white in symbolic representation of the deceased's fresh sincerity and his flexible receptiveness to diversity and change.

The use of green for some portions is to depict the garden-city concept which he advocated.
