    The West German Training vessel, the Deutschland, 4,880 tons carrying 567 crews including 267 cadets docked at Tokyo's Harumi Pier this morning amidst rain and foggy weather.More than 150 German residents in Tokyo and the students of Dokyo-Gakuen Secondary School welcomed the crews of the Deutschland.Captain Kimura, General Staff Officer of the Japanese Marinetime Defense Forces called on Captain Kollman of the Deutschland on board the boat and Three Miss.Tokyo wearing beautiful Kimono called on Captain Kollmann on board the boat and presented beautiful bouquets.The 4,880 tons ship, the first German training vessel to visit Japan since the war, is currently on a round-the world voyage.The crews showed around the boat for both local Germans and Japanese which were equipped with 4-100 mm guns and 6-40 mm anti-aircraft guns which were made in France and Sweden though the boat itself was made in Germany.It will remain in Tokyo until Monday when it sails to Osaka.The crews of the boat are expected to make a tour in Tokyo and Yokosuka where they are expected to visit the Mikasa, the flagship of the Japanese fleet during the Russo-Japanese War back in 1904 and will visit scenic places around Tokyo starting tomorrow.The vessel will be opened for the public on March 27 and 28th.The Deutschland looks so smart in type and the two Japanese destroyers "Iso???" and "Shikinami" which wee anchored next to the Deutschland welcomed German crews.
