    ON THURSDAY HE SPOKE TO THOUSANDS OF CHEERING SUPPORTERS AT A MASSIVE ELECTION RALLY HELD IN ACCRA. TWO MILLION VOTERS ARE EXPECTED TO TURN OUT TO ELECT 140 NATIONAL ASSEMBLY MEMBERS AFTER AN ORDERLY CAMPAIGN.

    THE LEADERSHIP BATTLE IS BEING FOUGHT BETWEEN GBEDEMAH, 57, LEADER OF THE NATIONAL ALLIANCE OF LIBERALS (NAL) AND DR. KOFI BUSIA, 56, OF THE PROGRESS PARTY (PP).

    POLITICAL OBSERVERS SAY THAT NEITHER MAN HAS SUFFICIENT SUPPORT FOR A CLEAR MAJORITY AND PREDICT A COALITION GOVERNMENT. AT THURSDAY'S RALLY MR GBEDEMAH SPOKE OF GHANA'S FUTURE.
