  • Description

Lao Royal Government claims, that, 40,000 North Vietnamese soldiers are in Laos territory, fighting for the Neo Lao Hak Sat (Pathet Lao).

Pathet Lao representative in Vientiane, Colonel SOTH said "we got back only our grounds, and we gave back, only, to the Rightist, one part of ten, what they have done to us, but it is an habit, that, the robber call: Oh ! robber, for robbing".

And North Vietnam said "it is some marchlands de soupe chinoise, that, Lao government had shown as North Vietnamese prisoners, and, for to have more climax, they borrowed some wounded from South Vietnamese front."
In Vientiane, since 1962 Geneva agreement, Pathet Lao are representing, with Neutralist and Rightist soldiers, The tri-parties Laotian Coalition Government; controlled by I.C.C members Canadian, Polish and Indian; supervised by two Co-chairmen representatives, Russian and British. The town seems very peaceful. Pathet Lao soldiers dressing in khaki and cap going by five or six marketing beside peace household wives, crossing indifferently, in their purchases, Royal soldiers; at their quarter, they are gardening, and are playing volley ball. ICC's Indian team are repairing the telephone line in the street. At airport, ICC's four engines plane is leaving for his connection tour, from Saigon Nationalist South Vietnam, through Phnom Penh Neutralist Cambodia and Vientiane Triparties Coalition Government to Hanoi Communist North Vietnam. But, the ICC's helicopters, except for their biweekly flies maintenance, remain still; because, ICC's Polish members would allege a headache, if the Royal Government has requested an investigation on an outpost (rightist or neutralist) attacked by their brothers Pathet Lao helped by NVN troups. T28's planes take off daily, straffing and bombing for to support the Royal troups against Communist attacks. American jets are coming everyday from Thailand, bombing the Ho Chi Minh's trail against NVN infiltration through Laos for the South Vietnam. Air America also daily are dropping rice to 700,000 refugees "who are fled from Communist control" had said Lao government.

But no journalist is allowed to go to the fighting areas, so nobody can say. Maybe, it is the true, the Pathet Lao helped by the North Vietnamese want to help more ground or maybe the Royal government had claim those attacks for the purpose of political. But, any ways, it is a matter to reinforce their positions for the future negotiations.
