Evidence of a changing world are these military aircraft being produced in the United states for Germany, Italy and Japan.

West Germany's Iron Cross is seen here on a Grumann Albatross amphibian bound for German Navy duty.

German Naval officers board the plane at Grunmann's Long Island airfield for an inspection flight in the rugged Albatross, already used widely in U.S. military service.

Grumann also builds tracker anti-submarine planes for Italy and Japan, as well as the U.S. Navy. It is the first plane designed to detect, identify, track and destroy subs. Italian insignia is shown here on the Tracker.

The red-ball insignia of Japan completes the picture. Says Grumman aircraft President Leon A. Swirbul: "The menace of missile-launching submarines is of great proportion; by bolstering the defense of our allies, our overall defense is strengthened."
Grumman today announced a new contract to build the anti-sub plane for the Netherlands government as well.
