An American industrialist, Mr. A. Reynolds Morse, has opened a museum in Beachwood, a suburb?

  • Description

An American industrialist, Mr. A. Reynolds Morse, has opened a museum in Beachwood, a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio, devoted entirely to the works of the Spanish-born painter Salvador Dali. The museum was opened on Monday, March the 8th. Mr. Morse values his collection of more than 300 Dali works at 70 million dollars (30 million pounds Sterling.)
The museum is claimed to be the only museum in the United States devoted entirely to the works of one living artist. Mr. Morse has been collecting works by Dali for more than 25 years. He is a personal friend of the artist. Dali attended the opening of the museum - which is built as an annexe to a plastics factory - and after making a brief speech, signed autographs.
