    THE SEVEN-MAN COMMITTEE ARRIVED THERE FROM LUSAKA ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT. ITS CHAIRMAN IS MR ABDULRAHIM A. FARAH, OF SOMALIA. THE OTHER MEMBERS ARE DRAWN FROM NIGERIA, THE PHILIPPINES, ALGERIA, GHANA, HUNGARY AND NEPAL.

    AT ITS TEMPORARY HEADQUARTERS, LUTHER HOUSE, THE COMMITTEE HEARD EVIDENCE YESTERDAY(21 AUGUST) FROM MEMBERS OF THE AFRICAN NATIONAL CONGRESS OF SOUTH AFRICA - ANC SECRETARY-GENERAL MR. ALFRED NZO, AND DIRECTOR OF BROADCASTING MR J. JELE.

    DURING THEIR THREE-DAY STAY, THE COMMITTEE MEMBERS WILL ALSO MEET REPRESENTATIVES OF THE MOZAMBIQUE LIBERATION MOVEMENT -- FRELIMO, THE SOUTH WEST AFRICAN PEOPLE'S ORGANISATION --SWAPO, AND THE PAN AFRICANIST CONGRESS.

    ALL SESSIONS OF THE COMMITTEE ARE IN PRIVATE. MR FARAH TOLD REPORTERS HE COULD NOT DISCLOSE EVIDENCE UNTIL HE PRESENTS HIS REPORT TO THE U.N. GENERAL ASSEMBLY IN NEW YORK ON SEPTEMBER 16TH. IT WAS ONLY AFTER MUCH DISCUSSIONS THAT THEY ALLOWED OUR CAMERAMAN TO FILM A SECTION OF THE DELIBERATIONS.
